1/8th Scale Bluebird K7

This brand new, large scale model kit of Bluebird K7 builds into a true museum quality model with all the detail you would expect from a Speedline model.  (Photos on their way).
Some items have yet to be ‘productionised’ though all have been tested for fit and function.
Please contact me for a delivery date if you would like a kit.
The model has been designed from the outset to be equally at home in the display case or as a fully functional radio controlled model, capable of high speed runs across the lake.
The main parts of the model are cast in lightweight GRP in such a way as to ensure the model has as much inherent rigidity and strength as possible whilst minimising the number of parts that need to be joined together by the builder.
Highly stress areas such as the spars are cast into the main hull moulding in one piece and are re-enforced with stainless steel, pre-stressed rods at the assembly stage.
The sponsons themselves are each a single moulding, fully sealed and water-tight providing the precision required for authenticity, the strength and permanent buoyancy when on the lake.

Developed in conjunction with Wren Turbines around their ‘MW44 Gold’ the model gives amazingly realistic performance. (If you already own a GT of a different make and size it could well be fine for the application).

The gas turbine is of course an internal combustion engine and as such is not welcome on all boating lakes and so, to overcome the problem, a 90mm Electric Ducted Fan (EDF) can be fitted in its place and is currently under  performance testing
